Privacy policy

Last updated: 22 October 2026

Luvè Label · ABN 43 740 637 277 ("Luvè", "we", "us") sells paper Christmas trees through our online store at luvelabel.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, where it goes, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

If you have a question about it, email us at info@luvelabel.com.

In short

  • We collect what we need to take and deliver your order, to answer you, and to send the emails you sign up for.
  • Our site uses cookies. Microsoft Clarity records how visitors use our pages (session recordings and heatmaps), and Meta and Google receive information about visits and orders so we can measure and show our ads. You can opt out of both, as explained below.
  • Our store runs on Shopify, and some of the companies we use are outside Australia.
  • We never sell your details.
  • You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, and you can complain to us or to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).

What we collect

When you order: your name, email address, phone number, delivery and billing addresses, what you buy, and your order history. Payment is handled by Shopify Payments or the payment method you choose at checkout. We never see or store your full card number.

When you join our email list: your email address, and where you signed up (for example the footer of our site, or at checkout).

When you sign in to an account: your email address and the details saved in your account.

When you contact us: what you send us by email, by message on Instagram, or through our contact form (your name, email address, phone number if you add it, and your message).

When you leave a review: your name as you give it, your rating, your review, and any photos or video you add. Reviews are collected and shown on our site with Judge.me.

When you visit our site: your IP address, device and browser type, approximate location (worked out from your IP address), the page that brought you to us, the pages and products you view, what you add to your cart, and how you use our pages (such as clicks, taps, scrolling and mouse movement). Most of this is collected with cookies and similar tools, explained below.

We do not ask for sensitive information, such as health information. You can browse our site without telling us who you are. To deliver an order, we need your name, contact details and address.

How we use it

  • To take your order, deliver it, and keep you updated about it, including any change to your delivery date.
  • To answer your questions and sort out any problem with an order, including refunds and replacements.
  • To ask for a review after your order arrives (sent through Judge.me).
  • To send the emails you signed up for (see "Our email list").
  • To understand how people use our site and improve it (see "Session recording and heatmaps").
  • To measure our advertising and show our ads to people who may be interested (see "Advertising").
  • To protect our store and customers from fraud and misuse.
  • To keep business, accounting and tax records, and to meet our other legal obligations.

Our email list

If you join our email list, we use your email address to send news about Luvè, new colours, the Christmas order-by date and occasional offers. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and we never sell your details.

You join only by signing up: through a form on our site, or by ticking the sign-up box at checkout or when you sign in. That box is not ticked for you.

While you are on our list:

  • If you start a checkout and leave before paying, we may send you a reminder.
  • If our email system recognises you on our site (for example after you click a link in one of our emails), we may send you an email about a tree you looked at.
  • Our emails are sent with Shopify Messaging, which records when an email is opened and which links are clicked, so we can see what is useful.

You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in any of our emails, or by emailing info@luvelabel.com. Emails about an order you place, such as your order confirmation and delivery updates, still come, because they are part of the order.

Session recording and heatmaps (Microsoft Clarity)

We use Microsoft Clarity, a service from Microsoft, to see how visitors use our site, so we can find what is confusing and fix it. Clarity records how you use our pages, such as clicks, taps, scrolling and mouse movement, and turns this into session recordings (a replay of a visit) and heatmaps (where visitors click and scroll). It also records the pages you view, your device and browser type, and your approximate location.

  • Clarity hides what you type into form fields, such as your email address.
  • Clarity does not run on our checkout pages.
  • Clarity sets two cookies on our site, _clck and _clsk, to connect the pages of one visit. Microsoft also uses its own cookies, such as MUID, on Microsoft's domains.
  • Microsoft keeps Clarity recordings for 30 days (up to 9 months for any we save), and heatmap and click data for 9 months.

Microsoft may collect personal information from visitors to our site through Clarity. Microsoft collects or receives personal information from us to provide Microsoft Advertising, and it may use what it collects for its own purposes, including to improve its products and for advertising. The Microsoft Privacy Statement explains how Microsoft collects and uses your data.

To opt out of Clarity:

  • Go to the Digital Advertising Alliance's opt-out page, optout.aboutads.info, and choose Microsoft. Its Protect My Choices browser extension keeps that choice saved.
  • Turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser. Clarity supports this signal for opting out.
  • Use a browser setting or extension that blocks tracking scripts. This stops Clarity from loading.

Advertising (Meta and Google)

We advertise on Facebook and Instagram (Meta) and on Google, including Google Search and YouTube. To measure our ads and show them to the right people, our site uses the Meta Pixel and the Google tag, which are run through WeTracked, a tracking service from wetracked.io Ltd.

These tools send Meta and Google information about what happens on our site: the pages and products you view, what you add to your cart, when you start a checkout, and your orders and their value. With it they send details that help match this activity to a person: your IP address, browser details, the ad you clicked, identifiers stored in cookies (such as _fbp and _gcl_au), and, for some events, contact details such as your email address and phone number, which are hashed (turned into a code) before they are sent. WeTracked sends some of this from its own servers as well as from your browser, and sets its own identifier cookies on our site.

We use this to:

  • see which ads lead to visits and sales;
  • show our ads to people who have visited our site, and fewer ads to people who have already bought;
  • help Meta and Google find people likely to be interested, including people similar to our visitors.

Third-party vendors, including Google and Meta, show our ads on sites and apps across the internet. Third parties, including Google and Meta, use cookies, web beacons, device identifiers and similar technologies to collect or receive information from our site and elsewhere on the internet, and use it to measure ads and to choose which ads to show, including ads based on your past visits to our site. Meta and Google use this information under their own policies: the Meta Privacy Policy, the Google Privacy Policy, and how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

To opt out of ads based on your visits:

We are not paid for any of this information.

Shopify

Our store is hosted by Shopify. Shopify collects and processes your personal information to run our store, checkout, payments, customer accounts and emails, and the information you submit to our store is shared with Shopify.

We also use Shopify Network Intelligence. With it, Shopify uses information about your activity on our store together with information from other Shopify stores and from Shopify itself, to improve products, ad targeting and personalisation for our store. Other stores cannot see our customers' information. If you use Shop Pay or the Shop app, Shopify also handles your information for those services. For these uses Shopify is responsible for your information, as its Consumer Privacy Policy explains.

To opt out of or object to Shopify processing your information, or to make a privacy request to Shopify, use Shopify's Privacy Portal. To stop Shopify sharing your personal data for targeted ads, use this form.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Our site also uses your browser's local storage, which works in a similar way. We use them:

  • To run the store: your cart, currency and region, sign-in, checkout and security. These come from Shopify (see Shopify's cookie policy).
  • To remember your choices: for example the ceiling height you set in our Live Tree, or that you closed our sign-up box.
  • To understand how our site is used: Shopify's analytics and Microsoft Clarity.
  • For advertising: the Meta Pixel, the Google tag and WeTracked.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and use the opt-outs above. If you block all cookies, your cart and checkout may not work.

Who we share it with

  • Shopify, which hosts our store, checkout, payments, customer accounts and emails (see "Shopify").
  • Apps we add to our Shopify store, which can access the store data they need to work, such as Judge.me for reviews and WeTracked for ad tracking.
  • The payment provider you choose at checkout.
  • The carrier that delivers your order, such as Australia Post: your name, delivery address and phone number.
  • Microsoft (Clarity), and Meta and Google (advertising), as described above.
  • Google Workspace, which hosts our email inbox at info@luvelabel.com.
  • People who help us run the business, such as our web and marketing contractor and our professional advisers, when they need it for their work.
  • Authorities, when the law requires it.

We never sell your details.

Information that goes overseas

Some of the companies we use store or process information outside Australia. The countries are likely to include:

  • the United States: Shopify (which hosts our store's data there), Microsoft, Meta, Google, WeTracked and Judge.me;
  • Canada and Singapore: Shopify;
  • Ireland: Meta;
  • the United Kingdom: Judge.me;
  • Israel: our web and marketing contractor.

These companies may also use their own suppliers in other countries. We use established providers that publish their own privacy and security commitments.

Keeping it safe, and for how long

  • Our site and checkout use encryption (HTTPS). Card details go to the payment processor, and we never see them in full.
  • Access to our store's records is limited to the people who run Luvè and the contractors and service providers who help us.
  • We keep order records for as long as we need them for your order and our accounts. Australian tax law generally requires business records to be kept for five years.
  • We keep your email address on our list until you unsubscribe. After that we keep a note that you unsubscribed, so we do not email you again.
  • When we no longer need information, we delete it or remove the details that identify you.

Seeing, correcting and deleting your information

  • Access and correction: email info@luvelabel.com to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or to correct it. There is no charge. We may ask you to confirm who you are, and we will reply within 30 days. If you have an account, you can also update your details there. If we refuse a request, we will tell you why in writing and how to complain.
  • Deletion: you can ask us to delete your information. We will, except for what we must keep, such as order records for tax.
  • Marketing: unsubscribe with the link in any of our marketing emails, or email us.

Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, email info@luvelabel.com and tell us what happened. We will look into it and reply in writing within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our reply, or we have not replied within 30 days, you can complain in writing to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC): online at oaic.gov.au, or by post to GPO Box 5288, Sydney NSW 2001. For questions, the OAIC's phone line is 1300 363 992.

Children

Our store is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

When the way we handle personal information changes, we will update this policy and the date at the top.
